The Philadoptables Street Team helps spread the word about Philadelphia’s City Animal Shelter’s 30,000+ animals, volunteer and foster opportunities, available adoptable animlas, while also educating the Delaware Valley on the animal problem challenging they city of Philadelphia.If you don’t have time to venture to the Shelter for volunteering and don’t have the ability to foster animals in your home, the Street Team provides an invaluable way for you to assist in saving lives and improving the conditions for the animals at the City animal shelter.
Street Team Members help by:

Educating their friends and families about the Shelter’s existence, its municipal funding levels, the shelter’s save rates, the availability of healthy adoptable animal at the shelter, as well as volunteer and foster opportunities at the shelter.
- Establishing partnerships with local retailers to collect supplies for the shelter (such as: blankets, towels, food and laundry detergent)and/or placement of awareness materials within the retail establishment.
- Distributing Philadoptables flyers and/or handbills to raise awareness of the shelter and ways to get involved in solving Philadelphia’s animal crisis at local events such as art shows, concerts, ballgames, festivals, and any other gatherings throughout the Delaware Valley.
- Basically, anything that spreads the word about the animals and Philadephia’s City Animal Shelter a tasteful and legal manner.
