Clean-Up Reminder

This Saturday is Philadelphia’s Spring Clean-up Day and Philadoptables will be taking part of the huge clean-up at Philadelphia’s City Animal Shelter.  The clean-up takes place April 2nd from 9a.m. to 2 p.m.  If you can just make an hour, that will be of great help to the homeless animals of Philadelphia.  The Shelter is at 111 W. Hunting Park Avenue.

Also, many thanks to Preston & Steve of 93.3 WMMR and their, who continue to be friends of the City’s homeless animal population.  The Preston & Steve family collected tons of food at their Camp Out For Hunger, literally six tons, and now they are helping to spread the word about the Shelter Clean-Up Day.  The animals thank you!  We all thank you!

Show some support back and listen to them each weekday morning on 93.3 WMMR.

Philadoptables knows the value of a volunteer- it is not able to be measured in money.  That is why we are celebrating volunteers who devote their time and heart to Philadelphia’s homeless animals. Whether you are a foster parent, volunteer with a rescue group or at the city’s animal control shelter,  it means the world to the animals that you are there for them.

Please join Philadoptables as we celebrate YOU, the volunteers, at our second annual Volunteer Appreciation Event. Last year was a blast- this year will be even bigger! If you are a former volunteer who wants to jump back in, a long-term vol, or a newbie, this night is for you!

ACCT Clean-up Day

Saturday, April 2nd is the official ACCT clean-up day to coincide with Philadelphia’s Spring Clean-up Campaign.  The Shelter and shelter grounds are due for tidying up and this is a great opportunity to have an immediate impact upon the lives of the animals at the Philadelphia City Animal Shelter.   Clean-up will take place between 9a.m. – 2p.m.

More Equipment Donations

Philadoptables, because of the generosity of its supporters, was able to make another significant contribution of supplies to the Philadelphia City Animal Shelter.  This week we were able to deliver an exam light, refractometer, blades, and a laryngoscope kit.  These supplies should enhance the quality of the car delivered to Philadelphia’s homeless animals.

Thanks again to the fantastic supporters that made this possible.

2nd Annual With Love – Super Adoption Day

The 2nd Annual With Love – Super Adoption Day will take place Sunday May 22, 2011 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Piazza at Schmidt’s.

With Love – Super Adoption Day is the largest adoption event in Philadelphia history with over 100 vendors, dozens of rescues and fun for the whole family!  Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia is proud to organize this event to help promote adoption and support the great rescues and shelters who struggle every day to save lives.

Officially Official 501(c)3

The paperwork from the IRS finally came back.  Philadoptables is offically recognized as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit tax exempt organization.  All of your generous donations are, without a doubt, tax deductible.  Tax time is looming.  Get those deductions!

New Bandanas for the Animal Control Shelter Animals!

With money raised by collecting and recycling toner cartridges, Philadoptables was able to purchase 100 of the adorable bandanas for Philly’s shelter dogs. They are sure to catch the eye of adopters at events and outings!

Food Distribution from the Camp Out For Hunger donations at Animal Control!

Philadoptables brought the trailier containing over 6,000lbs of dog and cat food, that’s over three tons, from the Camp Out For Hunger drive with Preston and Steven and WMMR to Philadelphia’s Animal Control Shelter on Saturday, December 4th. Food was distributed to fosters and rescues working with the shelter as well as low-income families struggling to feed their beloved pets.
